OFF-PREMISE CATERING, ON LOCATION BANQUETS AND SPECIAL EVENTS

 

Corporate events, holiday parties, weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, business lunches, open houses, and more.

 

Buffet, Traditional Style, Plated Dinners

San Chez Bistro enjoys preferred catering status at: UICA, Van Andel Public Museum, Saint Cecilia Music Society, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Cascade Meeting and Banquet Center, Camp Blodgett on Lake Michigan, St. Nicholas Cultural Center and have been welcomed at St. George's, Eberhard Center at GVSU and the Gerald R. Ford museum.

 

Corporate Dining: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 

Our services are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, M – F, free delivery, set up, and disposable ware to downtown area (see map), with a minimum $150 order.  This service is available to areas outside of downtown for $40.

 

An additional $40 rental, equipment and truck fee includes equipment for hot food, and pick-up/clean-up of the equipment on the same or following day.

  • China, stainless, glassware, and linens are also available for rental.

  • All prices exclude tax.

  • Packaged beer and wine is available for take-out.

  • Appropriate labor charges and rental charges will be added if needed.

  • Menu prices and items are subject to change.

Offerings are: Everything from Continental breakfasts and Box Lunches to Drop-off and Setup Buffets, or full service catering.

 

Services

 

Catering - We deliver and set up everything at the time, date, and location you specify. If your event is to be held at a location other than one of our restaurants, a site visit will be made some time prior to the event to discuss the details of the space and the orchestration of the event.

 

Events can be served either buffet or traditional style. We supply all serving utensils and equipment for the food to be prepared and served. The venue will supply dining tables, chairs, and any buffet tables needed or we may rent them. Standard white linens will be used unless special arrangements and costs are discussed.

 

Chefs and servers will stay throughout your event to set up, serve, clean up etc. A gratuity is customary for the catering staff. Very often this will be left to your discretion.

 

Specialized Food & Beverage Service

We will customize your menu to fit your budget, theme, or dietary concerns. Buffet style and/or family style dining is available for any event, Choose a few of your favorites or have us design a custom menu to meet your guests’ needs.  Recent unique menu creations include a vegan feast, a detoxification buffet and a showcase of traditional, regional Spanish cuisine.

 

Alcohol will be served by our staff. We supply bartenders and all alcohol service, including beer, wine, and sangria. We also offer a full range of spirits. No outside food or beverage is acceptable.

 

Delivery:

Free delivery, set up and disposable ware is available to downtown area, denoted by the map on the catering menu, with a $150 minimum order.

 

There is a $70 drop-off fee for catering outside of downtown area.  An additional $40 rental fee for equipment and truck fees include equipment for hot food set up, pick up and clean up of the equipment on the same or following day.

 

China, stainless, glassware and linen are also available for rental. There is a $6.95 per person rental fee for full multi-course china place settings.

CATERING AND SPECIAL EVENT PAYMENT POLICY

  • A 50% deposit, due three months in advance of the event date, is needed to secure and guarantee the event.

  • A final guest count and menu confirmation is due two weeks prior to the event date.

  • Changes can be made with at least two weeks notice prior to your event. Changes or cancellation within two weeks of the event, however, will result in a charge equal to the total of the final confirmed proposal amount (or more if the changes or additions are, or have been made to the original proposal).

  • Final payment is requested no later than the day of the event.
